Diwali of today and yesteryears!!!

Today is the festival of lights (if you come here and see you will find that it is more of sound than light), but this noisy atmosphere, the sweets prepared(we prefer to buy them though), the brand new clothes(not that they are branded, but they are new), preferably non-vegetarian food(there are exceptions) make this festival one of its kind. I still hear the blatant roars of the fireworks, it commenced somewhere around 6'o clock in the morning and from then on i(not just me, the whole of Chennai)haven't had a good sleep.

But this time around i didn't have a sound Diwali, if not for the noisy fireworks around which are creating a lot of sound pollution, all we had this Diwali is some sweets and nuts, then the non-veggie lunch followed by the dinner(dinner not yet done), then the most welcome holiday  ( am already on my study holidays, but Pappa and Rakesh have taken advantage of the holiday). And mummy had prepared a time-table of to-be-seen movies in the tv, she is equally busy with that as Rakesh is with sleeping and Pappa with irritating her(i too join Pappa). Sunil mama and his family were there for lunch, then by evening Jacob sir and family had come along and i made Sweetlime(mossambi) juice for them(yes, i am proud :) ). Then Jacob sir left for the fear of these fireworks all around, so that they get home before people get engaged in hardcore bursts(the streets out here are less traversed on Diwali because of these crackers out there). Even Sunil mama left early for the same reason.

I didn't even wish any of my friends, i really didn't feel like wishing this time (hey,if you are reading this, hope you had a safe Diwali buddy). Almost everyone in my contacts list had wished me still i didn't manage to wish back. Myself and Rakesh said a NO to crackers(no not because of excessive noise pollution but lack of interest and i call it laziness), and we didn't buy brand new clothes as well, though i bought some 2 weeks back but not on account of Diwali. I actually planned to study for my exams but this dissonance around doesn't help me study either. Now let me talk of my Diwali experience way back.

The first time i celebrated Diwali was at Trivandrum way back in 1999 i suppose. At Palakkad we never used to celebrate Diwali that well(no firecrackers for sure). But having migrated to Trivandrum then, i joined the people around me and had fun bursting crackers with my colony mates there. I did buy new clothes, it was holiday time and it was fun. So almost 3 years of Diwali celebrations at Trivandrum was great.

And then after that we were back to Palakkad and as usual we had a rather quiet Diwali. And even in the year 2006 i had a nice Diwali, we were at Chennai and Vijayan Uncle(my dad's cousin) had opened a shop for selling crackers and stuffs and i spent most of my time there, it was nice and that was just when i was introduced to all the weird names of these various kinds of crackers and these pyrotechnic devices. And i even found time to burst a lot of these things then creating trouble for the people who drove through my street, we burst a lot of crackers then and even Pappa joined us. We had a lot of company to finish of our stock(of crackers).

The year 2007 was also nice, it was fun then with Sajeesh etta, Sree etta and many others too. Though not much of crackers and stuffs then again it was fun, at Usha aunts terrace we had a nice glimpse of whatever was happening around us, the rockets and the staircase wala stuffs(that the cracker-enthusiasts nearby had burst)  and everything. And Usha aunt had prepared a lot of sweets as well. We even burst crackers at the terrace and in front of our house and i was trying to break the laws which said bursting crackers after 10 pm is an offense. But this time it is all different, there is no one around and lesser the people lesser is the fun and joy. Sajeesh etta and Sree etta at Banglore (well both of them have jobs) and even Nisha Chechi (though at Chennai, she is also working now). So this year it is a different Diwali . But it is also nice to just be a spectator, no risks lol ;).

Hope you had a joyous Diwali. If you have any of your Diwali experiences that you would like to share, it would be a privilege to host it in here.

PS:- Diwali is a festival in India. It is very much significant among the Hindus, Sikhs and Jains in particular.

The Indian Triumph and shame on you Mumbai Police!!!

Yippee!!!So a good week altogether for my India, yes we have successfully accomplished(as of now) the Chandrayaan-I mission with pride. I didn't expect this to take place so early, i swear, because India is known to be slow but this mission has proved it wrong. The sincere and dedicated work of over a 1000 scientists has come true, Indian brains have proved yet again that they are among the best, they(these scientists) are the true patriots who have dedicated their heart and soul for this nation, am sure they would have got better offers from the various space stations but they have stayed back to make this nation proud and we are definitely proud of you gentlemen.

Within a week or so the Chandrayaan will reach the moons orbit, it is not just an Indian mission, it is carrying 11 payloads out of which 6 are from the US, Europe and Bulgaria. So we have joined the elite club of countries which have been successful in sending an unmanned rocket to them moon following the Russians(way back in 1959), the Americans, Japan and China(both in 2007). But India's mission is more special than any of these countries , ours is the cheapest of all. We have spent only around $78.5 million where as even China spent $187 million and Japan spent $480 million. Indians are way better to Chinese this time(in monetary terms). I am looking forward to the moment when my Indian flag would be hoisted in the moon.

Now let us look forward to the launch of Chandrayaan-II which would be capable of landing a
rover on the moon which would be followed by a mission to the moon with an astronaut on board and by 2020 we will have a manned mission to the moon. Hope we work faster and accomplish these tasks before schedule successfully.

Now the Indian triumph over the mighty Aussies, good, finally Indians managed to dominate. It is a great news as a cricket fan in India but i am not happy about the way the spectators and fans praising the team(praises are good but everything has a limit is it not?). They claim this to be the end of the Aussie dominance and the wake of an Indian reign in the cricketing world. The players are happy to see the the fans showering their appreciation on them, the new generation of Indian players haven't seen the other face of their mighty fan club, I wonder if they still remember the plight of the families of the cricketers during the world cup-07 when the furious fans were busy protesting against them.

This is the true face of the Indian cricket fan, they have no bounds to their emotional content. The consider you as God when you play well and they dump you and their fury has no bounds as well when you fail to meet their expectation. Now the fans have started expecting more from the team and when this team fails to meet their demands the next time, i wonder what would be in stake for the players?? Watch out guys, you are always under immense pressure but one good thing is that, it used to be one guy named Sachin who used to take all the pressure for himself few years back, but now the entire team has started to share it. Keep winning team India, you are not under safe custody!!!

Finally, what is happening in Maharashtra?? Do they understand that they are living in a country named India. It is a pain to know that people are being categorized on the basis of their place of origin. The Shiv Sena and the must criticized MNS are the main reason for this violence and agitation against the north Indians working in Mumbai and Maharashtra. Its sickening to see such things happening in a country where there are more than a billion people belonging to different religions. And the funniest part is the preposterous remark of the Shiv Sena leader Mr. Raj Thackeray publicly demanding the Mumbai police to arrest him and asking them to face the consequences his arrest would reflect. It is such a shameful incident to be taking place. It is sad to see people like him escaping the law and order and his followers audaciously damaging the public properties and attacking the innocent people.

What is the state government doing there, they are criticizing the BJP for having motivated Shiv Sena and the BJP are in turn criticizing the Congress for having not taken any action against these agitators. These politicians never really understand what democracy is all about and during such violence instead of working together for taking severe action against these people they are busy criticizing each other. Shameful. At the other end when the scientists are making this country proud these politicians are always letting us down. The biggest hindrance in India for any development is this unruly behaviour of these politicians and that is the greatest setback for this nation. I hope we get a new breed of young and enthusiastic politicians who are capable enough to run this government pretty early.

A great Message!!!

One day Maths teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name. '
Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers.
That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.
On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments. No one ever mentioned those papers in class again.. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.
Several years later, one of the students was killed in Kargil' war and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never attended Funeral of a serviceman before. He looked so handsome, so mature.
The place was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk.. The teacher was the last one to bless
As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Sanjay's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Sanjay talked about you a lot.'
After the funeral, most of Sanjay's former classmates were there. Sanjay's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.
We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Sanjay when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it.
Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Sanjay's classmates had said about him.
'Thank you so much for doing that,' Sanjay's mother said. 'As you can see, Sanjay treasured it.
All of Sanjay's former classmates started to gather around. Arjun smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.'
Prithwiraj's wife said, ' Prithwiraj asked me to put his in our wedding album.'
'I have mine too,' Rashmi said. 'It's in my diary'
Then Deepali, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Deepali said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists.'
That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Sanjay and for all his friends who would never see him again.
The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be.
So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.

PS:- This is a forwarded mail.I found this to be a great message for all of us.

Big Bang(BANG BANG!!!)

My mom has almost finished her driving course and is due to take the driving test by this month end. So these days myself and pappa have started taking mummy out for driving every night, it is always fun to teach something to our parents right??? I had the same fun then. I was trying to be the most calm child by trying not to scold her on her mistakes but at times i lost my temper and she was like "Please don't shout, i will not repeat it"(in malayalam it would sound more rhythmical) and i responded with a grin and be all the more polite.

I could then recall my childhood when mummy used to sit alongside me and teach me, and like every other child even i was least interested in studying and i would look out for every opportunity to escape from the clutches of my text books and throw myself into some outdoor games or go to the nearby ground and accompany the guys out there. And mummy chasing me, good old days.

The above post was written yesterday(17/10/08) evening and the section below is being written today(18/10/08) after an incident that happened yesterday night. Here it is,

So i was all the more curious to take my mom out for driving late night as usual though Pappa asked me not to i managed to get his permission for Mummy's sake, just to make sure that she doesn't end up forgetting whatever she had studied and as usual we set-off for driving,  we went to my same destination and everything was going quite smooth, i drove till i reached the place and from there on Mummy wore the drivers shoe, she started off well for an amateur, drove quite a distance and then we had to take a U-turn, i entrusted the responsibility to Mummy and asked her to take the turn, she turned the steering, put the first gear, slowly leaving the clutch and JAMMED the accelerator, with me asking her to apply the brake, i was like "Mummy, take your leg from accelerator and press the brake(n number of times),Mummy,mummy,mumm.....BANG"... :)

We(she) went and banged on a concrete wall, and the police came running and shouting at me, i was looking at Mummy and she was looking at me as if she has no clue of what had happened and as if nothing had really happened, she took some time to realize that she went and banged the car on a concrete wall, thankfully it(the wall) was strong enough to endure such a strong blow(BANG), i got down and examined the car just to find that the bumper was bumped mercilessly, then i took the drivers seat, Mummy sitting next to me with the innocence of not having done anything wrong, but nervous and thinking about what Pappa would have in stake for us. The best thing is that i took her to one of the most protected areas of Chennai, near the C.M's residence, flooded with policemen, we were lucky to escape from their hands i should say.

Finally managed to reach home, anyways it was a nice experience. But the mistake was all mine, i had forgotten that there is something called the hand-brake that could have been used, and i shouldn't have chosen a place with so much of policemen. But good that we didn't knock down a passer-by or another car, it would have been disastrous. And Mummy learned what a clutch, brake and accelerator is and their respective positions as well.

Aravind Adiga!!!

Yet another Indian, following the path of Salman Rushdie, Arundathi Roy and Kiran Desai, Aravind Adiga has been bestowed  the Man Booker Prize. It always feels great to see an Indian being acknowledged from among the best, congrats Mr. Adiga, we are proud of you. Mr. Adiga won it for his work ''The White Tiger''. It is in fact a great honor for Indian writers and am sure that the young authors would definitely be motivated by this.

New World Order!!!

These are the days of mixed feelings, no one is spared and every human being is facing the financial and economic crunch. The dependency of the rest-of-the-world in the United Stated of America is the reason behind this global breakdown. At this point of time, Iran should be among the happiest of nations in the world, the country which depends on America the least. Good. India should learn few lessons, and we are in fact learning more than what is taught by the crunch. In this post i am just having a look at these recent developments, if you are curious to know about it, please do continue and if you are not, these are the things that you should know, so keep reading.

The US government is busy working out plans to ease this on going tension, no wonder all of a sudden their national debt has crossed 10 trillion, and it is still increasing with the $700 Billion
bail out plans. Every US citizen has a debt of $34,000 towards the nation, that accounts for more than 1.5 millions Rs., it is literally shocking to see one of the wealthiest nation in such a situation now. I was among the anti-US  but the dependency of my nation and the world and a detailed look at the present developments has made me feel sorry for that nation, nothing is going right their way. They are at the receiving end and though the world is gazing at every move by the US now, the old world order is changing, the badly needed change is very much evident.

No more is US termed a dream destination, they are retreating, retreating in harmony with the rest of the world. No wonder Mr. Bush is busy trying to get the nuclear pact with India work out, though there was initial opposition in the assembly gradually they have lost their resistance powers, they know that US is no more the nation they were and they badly need the support of developing nations like India and China, getting the aid of the Chinese being difficult and with India things being lot easier they have chosen the former. This is what i call the
'New World Order'. The might of the Wall Street and is surrendering to the likes of  B.S.E and N.S.E and the Chinese markets.

Now its time for India and the rest to catch up, loosen up the grip of US on them and bring plans to be self-dependent. So its time to rejuvenate, time for new innovations and thoughts for their progress. As i said this is an all important change, this was very much needed and finally it has come. No wonder our own Manmohan Singh has announced that India is going to come up even stronger after this crisis, i always feel though China is more powerful and hardworking, their bad debts and the excessive spent on the Olympics can turn against them pretty soon, so India is going to rule, rule the world. Wow, just that thought alone gives me goosebumps. Hope this great Indian dream comes true soon.

Too(two) many murders in a row...

Well murder  seems to be a really strong word, but i can't stop myself from saying that.I killed my time, money, petrol, sleep and what not.Bull shit.

I am talking about the last 2 movies i went for.

The 1st one was an encounter i had last sunday,a movie called Sakkarakatti(tamil). The worst thing was that i went and booked the tickets in advance for that killer.Myself and Deepak have been planning to go for a movie for a longtime,i hadn't met him since his return from the voyage and so i thought i would take him for a nice movie, despite mummy's warning i took a risk with a faint belief that the movie is good.Well the songs were composed by A.R.Rehman, and even the hoardings of the movie was full of his pictures, i had to guess that the only good thing with the movie was the music. My mistake. The first scene of the movie revealed its quality and i was like, Deepak lets hope for the best.Deepak as always with his delicate smile replied saying its just fine with him and all he wanted to was spend sometime with me after a longtime, so nice of him.All that the movie had was some great graphics in the song sequences which made no sense at all.I pity the producer and wonder what would have made him spend so much of money with 100% risk.

Well if going for Sakkarakatti seems to be the height of stupidity, well did i tell you about the other encounter. You will definitely pity me,am sure.

It happened yesterday night(saturday),at around 8.45 Pm i was feeling very much bored staying home and told Rakesh that we will go for a movie. He knew i was talking of going for Drona,i had no clue of the movie till then except that we downloaded the song and it sounded nice.He also agreed, seems he heard from someone that the movie is good(am waiting to meet the fellow who said that). So we let off for the movie, saturday night seems to be a nice time to ride in Chennai roads, not much traffic. We reached and got the tickets.Well the crowd(comparatively lesser) and the availability of the tickets meant something fishy, i just hoped for the best. And the best it was, the introductory song which transforms the kiddo to the all big Abhishek Bachan said it all.I said to myself "Abhishek, why me again???" and looked at Rakesh's face, having a good chemistry we knew what was in stake for us.I really don't know how i spend my time in there.I didn't let Rakesh sleep, his eyes were badly trying to hug each other, and i was busy patting his cheeks to let him off sleep.

We gazed around to see if people are really watching the movie, the guy near us was busy messaging someone(gotta be his girl friend i told Rakesh).I found the entire movie to be a great comedy in itself, Priyanka wasn't that sexy either, she was busy running behind Abhishek for his safety and trying to protect him.Every meaningless scene(there were many i didn't bother counting) made both of us look at each other. We were waiting anxiously for the interval and finally after more than an hour long waiting the bell rung. He slept till the movie started again, he knew that i wouldn't let him sleep after that. The comedy continued, i suppose the movie had to come some 15 years ago, i would have been a 5 year old and Rakesh just 2, we would have enjoyed the movie then.Am sure. Oh, and finally it got over, i should have left earlier but we were waiting for the title song to be played, it so happened that that song was played after the movie got over. Prodigious movie.

Going back home in the wee hours is always fun, not anyone in the roads and i had the liberty to go the way i wanted, Rakesh was half asleep. We got caught by the police, he wanted to see my license(i had mine, even rakesh is using my license,so we had 2 copies :) ), too many bomb threats, and the people who suffer the most are the poor policemen. I pity them. Reaching home, the first thing he did was hit the bed.And i just followed.

(PS:-I am a happier blogger, for the 1st time Rakesh read my blog, he was right behind me when i was editing this. And for those of you who are planning to go for this movie, please don't.)

Gandiji... !!

Well it was the all important Gandhi Jayanthi on 2nd.Not much celebrations(for me) except that it was a holiday and i got a duplicate sim for my lost mobile, was trying to get the contacts back, busy messaging people and that's it.Oh yea,i forgot it was the day when the very much awaited(i very much did) smoking ban coming up.So we have another memorable Gandhi Jayanthi,if not for the celebrations the ban on public smoking is the need of the hour.

Firstly, let me talk about my knowledge of Gandhi till yesterday, frankly speaking i had developed a loathe on him over the years.I don't really know when was this cemented on me, but somewhere along my path i had abhorred him.I had thought of him as a traitor, a bad father and an unfit husband.I never tried to understand my mistake and that was when i asked Pappa(my dad) about Gandhi(i asked him yesterday, yeah so early i know).I had thought that Gandhi was the reason behind putting many of the extremists behind the bars and so hated him for that, i am a person who believes that non-violence is not the only reason behind our nation gaining the so called Independence one fine day.I forgot the fact that Gandhi was more dedicated to the cause of our nation than take care of his family.

Pappa told me about his greatness, but then again i didn't bother changing my thoughts on him.Just when he spoke of Gandhiji's strong desire to dismiss the congress right after independence, i felt bad on my part though my perception of the great man has nothing to do with anyone, i had made a big mistake myself by portraying a  good human being in a bad manner. He was indeed a great person and so i have taken up the task of trying to read his autobiography "My Experiences With Truth"(the malayalam version,"entae sathyaanweshana kadha").I have just started, seems to be an interesting book.

Now on the other issue, the ban on smoking in public places.I am happy, we always have a fight with my dad over this issue(he is a chain smoker).I am strictly against smoking in general and public smoking in particular. Finally someone out there heard my plea i suppose, my dad seemed all the more restless yesterday but somehow managed to calm himself down. Not just my dad most of my friends have also turn out to be regular smokers, they seize every opportunity given to them for smoking and it seems the reason behind their interest in smoking is that they don't fear death. And looking at people like my dad and others who smoke they have developed some kind of complex in them which persuades them to try smoking and ones they try , they never stop trying(i swear having had few fags myself i don't find any good reason to continue smoking).

Finally i find a good reason (i have other reasons too) to support this government, this ban on smoking might have affected the predictions of our Finance Minister Mr.Chidambaram(ever since his waiver on the farmers loans, its not that the waiver was not good but it was not executed well , i criticize his work), he might be working of compensating the tax income from the sales of cigarettes and other tobacco containing stuffs.I would be a relieved citizen if this ban on smoking sustains and would be an even happier citizen if this ban is further modified in regulating the sales of these products. This can definitely increase the quality of our citizens.

(PS:- For those of you who smoke, guys (now a days even girls) just imagine your state of mind before you started to smoke, you would have definitely been a healthier person then. And Health is wealth.)

Stay Hunger,stay foolish!

Well the topic of discussion might just seem to an aberration, and many of you might have just heard of this saying. It was quoted by Mr.Steve Jobs,CEO,Apple. For those of who,who are no mug with apple they are the ones who created the modern personal computer-macintosh(a very good invention) and the latest i-pod(the phenomenal music player) and even many more.I respect him a lot and he needs to be respected, for his contribution to this world.Without him the modern day PC's wouldn't have been so user friendly. So i am here to say few things about this topic of mine i mean stay hungry, stay foolish.

Now the reason why i have chosen such a topic. Its easy. Not many people understands what it means and it being my orkut caption they have named me the hungry and foolish man(i have no regrets though).Neither are they going to feed me(with food or knowledge) nor are they going to teach me(no offense). And the other reason,i had a comment on my last blog which said my posts sound some unhappiness in them.So here i am a little away from my thoughts of my wonderful nation and on the path of being a motivator for many out there. Please do read on because whatever i am going to say next is true, contradictions are very much welcome.

Stay Hungry, are you thinking of food now?If so being hungry doesn't mean being hungry for food rather it just asks you to be hungry for more knowledge, more creativity. It is just asking us to never stop going forward in life.If you still didn't understand(i suppose my readers are a crowd who think and so i need not explain it further but still),just take the case of the best names in business or computers or whatever.I consider the example of Microsoft. They started with the MS-Dos and now we have the Vista as the back-bone of the computing world.Had Microsoft and Mr.Gates stayed with the same MS-Dos format,we wouldn't have been here using the all new Graphical User Interface( a more technical term)Systems. So what is actually behind them being so successful, they never stopped innovating, they never stopped thinking and they were always on the hunt for a better system. In short they stayed hungry and they are the best now.So if you dream big, stay hungry. If you don't dream big, then start dreaming today, but don't just stop with dreaming do work towards realizing them and using your potential, will anyone want to waste their potential???

Stay Foolish, let me start of with the meaning of the word foolish,it means-Having or revealing stupidity. So was Mr.Jobs asking us to be stupid?Even i did wonder. But then i thought over it also.According to me,education is a wrong way of conveying the right message, annoyed? But it is.We are taught to think in the way they want us to,we are taught to think but in the wrong way.For development what we need to do is think, but think different, think independent.People around you may name you foolish, but then as long as you know your cause why bother? They name you foolish because you are different, and they can never be you.So just stay foolish. Now let me give a real life example,i hope most of you might have heard of Ramanujan(1729 is called Ramanujan's no.) the great mathematician, the first time he published his works even the better mathematicians then had termed him foolish and stupid, but then after few years Ramanujan made them turn their heads around for their comments.Even the Greek scholar Archimedes was being foolish when he ran nude around the town shouting Eureka after a certain discovery of his.

So finally i just repeat what i said, stay hungry stay foolish.Because if not for your sake, the world badly needs your potential to be a better place tomorrow. So be hungry for innovations and creativity and be foolish enough to think crazy, the world is crazy then why not its people???

(PS-If it didn't make any sense then please move on,i will keep trying till it makes sense.Excuse if i screwed up your valuable time, thank God that it just got over,i could have been a bigger bugger(means make a mess off,for those who ends up looking at a dictionary beacause there are varied meanings)you are lucky today.)

Welcome back Rakesh!! and Eid Mubarak!!

Very Pleasant Morning.
I am blogging a lot earlier today.Whats wrong with this fellow??Is this what you are thinking,if so i have found a pursuit(of love) in blogging. Its nice,a good mode to communicate,a place to read the minds of many,a place to admire and its a virtual world.I have had enough of the real world that i just startled on to the virtual world. Its not an escape, its just a shift for the time being before getting back to the real life.I address my real life queries here, because i am a stranger here in this new world.

As i said my day has started lot earlier today,i had to drop Kannan uncle and Nisha chechi at the railway station and had to nab Rakesh(my bro) after his 4 day long circuit around Mysore and Ooty.We had a bad time these 4 days.We missed him a lot.I was anxiously waiting for him to get back,so finally he is back.Being a nuclear family (of just 4) we find it really hard when even 1 of us is not around. So these last 4 days have been a real difficult task.

He is our pet and he is the one who makes the whole house get into action with his stuffs. The whole house went into gross silence. He is smart, witty and he just keeps us going. Not everyone knows the importance of a brother or sister,i got friends who are not lucky enough to have a sibling and they don't really know the grandness of having a brother or sister.Having a sibling is always a luxury,or is it just another luxury,am sure it is a lot more than just luxury.

For me,though younger to me he is one of my best friends and one fellow who knows everything about me,its either that i tell him or he finds out,so either ways he comes to know of everything right from my school days to the present college life of mine. The best thing about him is that he is my greatest critic, and that encourages me a lot more. That is the first story for the day,Rakesh is back home.

Secondly, today is Eid,the holy festival of Islam religion, each and every Muslim celebrates it with great love and devotion, they invite their friends and neighbours for lunch. And even i was not left behind, but it didn't work in the conventional way for us,i mean my friends,we called up one of our Muslim friend Imtiaz and told him "macha listen even we are coming for lunch,so better prepare for us also(some 10 of us were there) ",at first he was hesitant(no wonder cooking biriyani for 10 of us is not an easy task) but then he asked us to proceed with our plan and come over.We were ready for the battle between us and the hot mutton biriyani and chicken fry,and finally we won.So had a nice lunch.

Now the 3rd story.its not related to me in fact it has nothing to do with me.I am talking about the death of nearly 150 people at the Chamunda Devi  temple in Rajasthan.I wonder if people never learn anything,These stampedes have become regular sight these days, especially stampedes on days of religious congregations have been really pitiful. The devotees went to pray and now their relatives have ended up praying for the dead and the injured.I hope the authorities take necessary actions and make these regular disasters history.

So thats it for today,it ws indeed a very long day!!!
