Hey everyone i have been wondering on what to blog and tell you people. Finally am here with my comments about the movie dasavatharam.
The movie starts off with the Mani Ratnam kind of beggining where someone actually tries to narrate his story. And here we have Kamalhasan narrating it in thuliya tamil and guess it would be difficult for the not so tamilians to understand without the help of a translator. Then we enter into the 12th century and first of all hats off to Ravi Varman for the camera it was simply one of the best in Indian cinema and the visula effects. Here again the not so tamilians got to suffer because of the pure tamil in use but they wil surely get to know theings with the things on screen. Here again we see Kamal in action in the form of a Vaishnava. The song was a perfect finish for that bit of the story. So you know waht i mean ,yes dasavatharam is not a single story but it has many stories tied together with strong knots i should say that they dont lose grip anywhere.Did i tell you that the stage was occupied by Mr.Bush(kamal),our Singh and Kalaignar.
Next we are off to America to discover the next Kamal and the rest of the story rotates around him and he is the original Kamal. He is a research scientist in Biological weapons and stuff.Yes i know what you are thinking and yes the rest of the story is typically American where we see someone trying to destroy the City and the people and we have a hero who stands tall and save us all.And here you are wrong people because here the hero is not Kamal but God the Almighty you want to know why then you should head on o the theatres right away.
But without some boring moments we can never have an Indian movie can we?And here again neither did the director nor did Kamal disappoint us wit some lagging scenes which rather looked unnecessary between Kamal and Asin. But he tried to bring some glamour behind the glamour girl Sherawat yes you heard it right Mallika Sherawat i hoped that she stayed longer before her quick death and put in some more glamour lol.
Well i shouldn be ending with just this,we have another Kamal in the form of a ex-CIA agent and he is the more sporty and athletic fellow guess he would have seen the Bond movies quite many times. And then a true social worker in the name of Vincent who loves mother earth and people around him than anything.
The motto of the movie as far as i feel is that God is the power behind everything and for everything that happens in the world there is a reason behind it which only few people know. Here Kamal takes us to the dayz of the Tsunami on 24th dec 2004 and i am sure none of us would have taken the Tsunami in a positive way except for Kamal i love that creativity and thats why he is different.I didn say much about the visual effects since we all know the person behind it and he himself says itz just behind Star Wars in animation and vfx.
So finally its a movie to be seen atleast for understanding the transformation in Indian cinema that is actually taking place except for the Bollywood trying to be with par with Hollywood.
